WEBRoster Notation. We can use the roster notation to describe a set if it has only a small number of elements. We list all its elements explicitly, as in. A = the set of natural numbers not exceeding 7 = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}. (1.5.2) (1.5.2) A = the set of natural numbers not exceeding 7 = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 }.
