WEBBreaks Interstate Park is located about 5 miles (8 km) east of Elkhorn City, Kentucky. The park covers 4,500 acres (1,800 ha). The park's main feature, Breaks Canyon, is five miles long and ranges from 830 to 1,600 feet (250 to 490 m) deep.

WEBBreaks Interstate Park, also known as "the Breaks," is a bi-state state park located partly in southeastern Kentucky and southwestern Virginia in the Jefferson National Forest, at the northeastern terminus of Pine Mountain. The land is managed by an interstate compact between the states of Virginia and Kentucky.

Most of these sites are wooded, but if you prefer, grassy areas are available in campground D. Playgrounds, a basketball court, a well-stocked store and a laundry facility are available.
WEBThe gorgeous mountainous setting of Breaks Interstate Park is the gateway to more than 25 miles of scenic connected hiking trails of varying difficulties. Pick up trail maps from the Park Visitor Center to help plan your routes. Guided hikes are also available throughout the summer months.
