As recently announced by Indian Railway, the new Train Chart Preparation Time is be 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the particular train. Till this time all the reservation tickets can be booked.
What is the last chart time for a train?A final chart is prepared for such trains at 8 o’clock. In which travelers can easily see their confirmation. It makes the passengers aware of the waiting list and RAC status. For evening trains, the last chart time is also 3 to 4 hours before. There are some special trains in it, whose last chart can be put even 30 minutes before.
How to check the status of chart preparation of a train ticket?You can simply call on 139 which is the official number of the Indian Railways. You will get to know the status of the chart preparation here. Type your PNR number on an SMS and send it to 139. You will get an SMS in response which will have the details of your ticket including the status of chart preparation of your train.
When is the booking chart made for early morning trains?For early morning trains chart is prepared the night before. If the seats remain vacant in first chart, the remaining seats are made available for booking. The final chart is made 30min before departure of train. Some waiting list tickets are confirmed. Berth and coach number is assigned to all passengers having final status as confirmed or RAC.
