In navigation, bearing is the horizontal angle between the direction of an object and another object, or between it and that of true north. Absolute bearing refers to the angle between the magnetic north (magnetic bearing) or true north (true bearing) and an object. For example, an object to the East would have an absolute bearing of 90 degrees.
A bearing is the direction you’re facing, measured clockwise as an angle from true north on a compass. This can also be called a heading. In this system, north is 0°, east is 90°, south is 180°, and west is 270°. When you are viewing a Mapbox map, the bearing rotates the map around its center the specified number of degrees.
