How do I clean and descale my Keurig? Unplug the machine and remove any water filter. Fill the reservoir with either 16 ounces of white vinegar or Keurig Descaling Solution followed by 16 ounces of water. Place a mug on the drip tray and lift the brewer handle as if inserting a K-cup. Select the largest cup size and brew a cup as usual into the mug. Run a couple of brew cycles without a K-Cup, making sure to place a mug underneath to catch the liquid. Run a cycle with 10 ounces of fresh water to rinse out the vinegar. Unplug the machine. Remove the filter if your machine has one. Wipe down the machine thoroughly with warm soapy water, let dry, then plug it back in.
